Originally from Avellino, Italy , Piero has been an avid ski aficionado and skier since early infancy.  The early involvement of his young daughters into skiing and residence in Calgary, Alberta (close proximity to Lake Louise), have provided a perfect combination for the pursuit of the sport.  

Piero has been working as Executive in several company in the Oil & Gas industry worldwide: America, Europe, Middle East.

 

Stephanie Terrill, Board Member – Treasurer and Secretary

Stephanie Terrill is a Partner with KPMG, she has over fifteen years of international business experience and advises clients in diverse industries.  She has previously held board positions for non-profit organizations including treasurer.  Stephanie is a Chartered Accountant and earned her ahelor of Arts (Honours) degree from the University of Waterloo  with honours in Chartered Accounting and Minor Economics.  She was a member of the University of Waterloo ski team and continues to be an avid skier.

Rick Bowie – Director

One of the original pioneers of Freestyle Skiing in Canada, with his brother, formed “The Canadian Freestyle Skiers Association” in 1973. Instrumental in the development of the World Cup Freestyle Skiing Tour and shared co-responsibility for having Freestyle Skiing accepted as a demonstration sport at the 1988 Olympic Winter Games in Calgary. Criteria developed by Rick and his brother Darryl for qualifications, judging, scoring and course set-up is still in use today at the Olympic level.

Rick was also involved in developing alpine racing programs at the family owned ski area in Calgary called “ Happy Valley ”. Mike Wiegele was Rick’s first racing coach, during that time he competed in Slalom, GS and Downhill. In addition, Rick spent time skiing on the Pacific Western Pro Racing Tour and was involved in obtaining sponsors and setting up the various ski hill venues and courses.

Rick over the years has donated his time to numerous charitable ski events, which include the following;  The Disabled Skiers Association, The Calgary Educational Partnership Foundation, The B.C. Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and the Greater Victoria Hospital Foundation to name a few.
